Group: Dream Process Group

Group: Dream Process Group

Calling all dreamers! This group is a community where it is an an accepted practice to not only share our dreams but examine them with curiosity and respect. We’ll discuss ways of improving our ability to remember our dreams. Each week, we’ll focus on a dream shared by a group member. The Dreamer is invited to slow down, to tell the dream as it is remembered. We then ask questions to explore the aspects that most interest the dreamer, allowing their insights to guide our exploration. We listen attentively to the what the dream says without imposing our own interpretations.

To integrate the dream process for ourselves, we will engage in creative activities, such as writing a poem, making a list, creating a drawing or sharing what we would do if this were our dream.

Dreamwork offers a look into our unconscious because this is where our psyche speaks to us without inhibitions. When we listen and make connections, we understand ourselves. This process of self-discovery is unique and empowering, as it originates from within.

Day and Time: Saturday mornings

Membership:  The group is currently enrolling new members.

Cynthia M. Church is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#15026) training at the Process Therapy Institute under the supervision of Svetlana Kreimer.  She has been interested in Jungian Psychology for years and has attended a dream group with Leslie Schwartz of Washington. She appreciates the imagery offered by the unconscious and brings it out into the world, giving it more light and understanding in clay forms, assemblages, or paintings. She is interested in offering space for these personal aspects of ourselves the world isn’t often interested in. But experiencing the depth of our own souls is the most interesting experience, and the most rewarding.
